Kauai Fishing Report for August

Aloha from the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai! Here is an update for the Sport Fishing action for the month of August. As the busy summer season slowly begins to wind down, the bite continued to stay active. We have made contact with a lot of Bill Fish during the month of August. Mostly Blue Marlin, but we did catch one Shortbill Spearfish during the month. We had a steady stream of Mahi-Mahis, Wahoo and Tuna. On August 24th we took down Double Ahi Tunas on our morning excursion. The Wahoos have been a little bigger size that we usually catch. We caught a couple solid 40lbers towards the end of the month. Conditions have been running about average, so we did not have any cancellations due to weather, (Which I am happy to report) I always like to advise our guests to do their research on Kauai Ocean conditions, because our waters are bumpy here in Kauai and we don't want you to have any surprises. We look forward to a steady September and have a little more availability, so please give us a call if you are looking to go Deep Sea Fishing while on Kauai.
